Wishing to gain additional growth as both a student and practitioner of yoga, Laskmy made the decision to travel to India to complete her 200 hours of yoga teacher training. She studied under Dr. Om Prakash, a Master of Yoga and Ayurvedic Doctor, who has been teaching yoga for over 25 years at the Yoga Chakra School. Knowing that yoga originated in India 5,000 years ago, Laskmy thought this school, located in Rishikesh, was the perfect fit. In fact, Rishikesh is known as the world capital of yoga and is highly revered for its peacefulness and holiness. What better place to acquire the learning necessary to become a yoga teacher!

Laskmy holds a Masters in the education field. She currently teaches at an elementary school in South Florida while also substituting yoga classes at several Crossfit locations across the area. She has a number of devoted private clients who she is committed to working with weekly in order to deepen their personal yoga practice.

By combining her love of teaching and her interest in entrepreneurial endeavors, Laskmy developed her own yoga business and website. She aims to work with individuals who are looking to improve their focus and productivity level while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

She incorporates the traditions of Sivananda yoga to all of her classes, tutorials, and one on one sessions. Her hope is to reach out to those who find yoga studios too overwhelming and may have anxieties about public class, or for those that don’t have the time to make a scheduled class. Why? Because she’s been there. Laskmy started her daily yoga practice right at home where she felt more at ease.
